Network Engineer / System Administrator

Founded in 1995, GSC Game World is a prominent AAA development studio with over 400 employees. With bases in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Prague, Czech Republic, GSC Game World has released over 18 projects. The studio boasts in-house mocap and sound studios, as well as in-house QA, Cinematic, and Publishing teams. Possessing 7 unique IPs, GSC Game World is continually working on multiple projects in development, including the highly anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

General requirements:

• Experience in administering corporate networks and server infrastructure.
• Understanding of the principles of building fault-tolerant and scalable IT systems.
• Ability to work with technical documentation, network diagrams, and monitoring systems.

Professional knowledge and skills:

• Deep knowledge of network technologies and protocols: TCP/IP, OSI, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NAT.
• Understanding of the principles of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP, etc.).
• Experience in configuring and administering Cisco network equipment, as well as devices from other vendors (MikroTik, Juniper, HP, Ubiquiti, etc.).
• Fortinet expertise: Experience in configuring and administering FortiGate, understanding NGFW functionality.
• VPN Technologies: Deep knowledge and practical experience in implementing IPSec VPN and SSL-VPN in a multi-office environment.
• Virtualization: Understanding of VMware vSphere network aspects (vSwitches configuration, VLAN tagging, network isolation).
• Skills in virtualization (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, Hyper-V or similar platforms).
• Knowledge and application of monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.).
• Basic skills in Linux and Windows Server, understanding of network and system security principles.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Experience in task automation (Ansible, Bash, Python, PowerShell).

• Knowledge, understanding of CI/CD principles and containerization (Docker).

• Cisco certificates (CCNA, CCNP) or similar from other vendors.

• Experience with backup and recovery systems.
